Pixelate tutorial.
Please keep in mind that ALL of these tutorials are made with PSP(XI) - any types of PSP work for this. :] Credit to the Selena Gomez picture: here.
1. First of all, you need to pick or get a picture up in PSP. I will be using this picture, feel free to use it if you wish. :]
2. Secondly, duplicate the background layer, or, base layer. You can do this by either, right clicking on the picture > duplicate or, layers > duplicate.
3. Then, go to effects > distortion effects > pixelate.
4. Thennn, match your settings like mine:
5.Next, (LAST STEP!) ~ open up your layer palette. Then you can change any of the options on the selections on the layer palette for the top layer only! If you change something else instead of the top layer you will not get the same effect as I did.
And here it is finished:
I set mine (or in the picture above), to 100% screen, but I think soft light looks good, too. It's all up to you, though! :]
If your image does not look like this, or similar, then you probably should go back up, and re-read, and re-do over the tutorial, it'll help you alot more. :]
See? Easy enough.. huh? Hope you enjoyed it!!
